General rental conditions


1. Conclusion of contract

The reservation of a holiday home or apartment can be made in writing or by phone. With the reservation you offer us the binding conclusion of a travel contract. The contract is concluded with the acceptance by BæltFerie. You will receive a written confirmation, which includes the rental period, price and services. With the reservation, the registrant accepts the rental conditions of BæltFerie for themselves and all other registered persons.


2. Payment

After conclusion of the contract, a deposit of 25% of the price is due. The remaining amount must be paid to BæltFerie at least 4 weeks before the start of the trip. For bookings made 40 days or more before the start of the trip, the entire amount is due immediately.


3. Prices

All prices are generally given in EURO per object and week, plus the cost of final cleaning (mandatory). On site there are also the consumption-related additional costs for electricity, water or heating, firewood and the like.

Price and performance changes are only permitted if they are not significant. Such changes must be communicated to the customer immediately. If necessary, BæltFerie will offer the customer a free rebooking or a free cancellation. Price changes may only be made due to changes in course, tax or duty increases and only up to 3 weeks before the start of the trip. With the publication of a new catalog, all previously published catalogs lose their validity. Only the information in the new catalog applies.


4. Withdrawal / change / rebooking

The customer can withdraw from his contract with BæltFerie at any time until the start of the trip. The declaration of withdrawal must be made in writing. BæltFerie generally charges the following withdrawal fees:

a) up to 7 working days after booking free of charge

b) up to 70 days before arrival: 10% of the price, however at least 50 EUR

c) up to 40 days before arrival: 25% of the price

d) up to 14 days before arrival: 60% of the price

e) from 13 days before arrival or no-show: 100% of the price.

We recommend that you take out travel cancellation insurance. You can change the contract by name at any time free of charge, provided that neither the booking time nor the property are changed. Rebookings by the customer will be made up to the 90th day before arrival for a fee of EUR 50. Later rebookings will be treated like withdrawal with subsequent registration.


5. Force majeure

If the provision of the holiday property is made significantly more difficult or impaired due to force majeure that cannot be foreseen when the contract is concluded (natural disasters, border closings, strikes, etc.), both BæltFerie and the customer can terminate the contract.


6. Arrival and departure

The holiday home can generally not be occupied before 3 p.m. on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10 a.m. on the day of departure. The arrival must be made by 9:00 p.m., otherwise there is no obligation on the landlord to let guests into the rental property on the same day. The cottages are equipped like a normal household. Bring towels, tea towels, bed linen and the like. Bringing up tents and caravans on the property is not permitted. The house must be handed over tidy on departure. Final cleaning is mandatory.

7. Overcrowding

The specified number of people must not be exceeded. Overcrowding must be registered and approved by BæltFerie. There is a fee of EUR 7 per person per night. Otherwise the owner has the right to reject surplus persons.


8. Pets

Pets are not permitted in all cases and require written confirmation.


9. Deposit

BæltFerie is entitled to request a deposit of EUR 100-300. This deposit must be paid in cash on arrival and will be paid back up to 14 days after departure.


10. Warranty / liability

As part of the due diligence of a prudent businessman, BæltFerie is liable for the careful selection of the holiday homes; the accuracy of the description of all the holiday homes specified in the catalog; the proper provision of the contractually agreed service. The scope of the services results exclusively from the information on the rental property in the catalog. Subsidiary agreements require a written confirmation from BæltFerie.


11. Limitation of liability

Our contractual liability is limited to the amount of three times the travel price. We are not liable for any disruption to services that are only provided by us. This applies in particular to the brokerage of boats / cutters. No liability is assumed for noise pollution caused by construction work on roads and neighboring houses.


12. Complaints

Any complaints about the rental property must be reported to BæltFerie immediately so that remedial action can be taken as soon as possible. Later complaints on or after departure cannot be recognized and exempt BæltFerie from a possible reimbursement obligation. Damages to the rental property that occur during the holiday stay must also be reported immediately and, as far as the lessee is responsible, replaced.


13. Fish waste

Fish waste must be disposed of by the tenant in the sea. If fish residues are left at the holiday home after departure, they will be disposed of at the expense of the tenant.


14. Other

The tenant undertakes to take note of the general rental conditions before booking and recognizes them as part of the contract. The ineffectiveness of individual contract conditions does not mean that the remaining contract conditions become ineffective.
